Fundraising & Sponsorship

The San Ramon Valley Thunderbirds is a non-profit football and cheer organization. The primary cost to participate in the program is funded by registration and participation fees; yet these registration and participation fees account for only one-half of our operating costs.

The organization’s costs include, equipment, uniform and jersey purchases, helmet certification, insurance, cheer competition registration, scholar athlete program participation, referee and medical personnel, merchandise, snack shack food, scholarships,  maintenance and administrative costs.

Our fundraising efforts are divided into three areas: Sponsor Contributions, Booster Club and Fundraising Events.  A brief overview of each area is provided below. 

1.    Sponsor Contributions include company donations, individual donations or matching gift contributions from corporations on behalf of their employees. Sponsorship levels and the associated benefits can be found on the Sponsorship page.

 2.    Booster Club participation is an easy way for families to support the Thunderbirds. The “110% Club”  members receive some interesting benefits to make each Home Game experience a bit more fun!  Details can be found on the Booster Club page.  

 3.    Fundraising Events are designed to both increase program awareness and promote networking, relationship building and friendship for our participant families, their friends and associates.  Typically, we have a few events each season ranging from our Golf Outings to Poker Nights, as well as “T-Bird Dinner Nights” at local establishments.  We also host special “squad specific” events such as a Pizza Night to offset the costs of sending our Cheer participants to Regional or National competitions.  More information can be found on the Fundraising Events page.
